Happy (almost) International Women’s Day!  Paved by the brave, outspoken and courageous women of our past, this holiday honors our generation of women worldwide…and we’re not skipping out on honoring our own!  The many women that make up Fletcher Jones Motorcars are diverse within their own kind, as they come from places near and far and work in diverse professions here as well.  These dedicated women are rocking the auto industry and we couldn’t be more proud to work with them.  Part of our notable female staff is Audi Brand Specialist Amanda Hart, whose spent a year here at Audi Beverly Hills assisting clients in finding their perfect Audi.  We had the opportunity to ask her a few questions celebrating this holiday and her career.  Check out her answers below:

ABH:  What have you done professionally here that you succeeded at and were proud of?

Amanda: I’ve managed to finish each month as one of the top sales people at the Nations #1 Audi dealership and closed our largest month in December with the most units.  There’s also a running joke here that I’m the Yelp Queen since my clients are so generous with their online reviews.  I also pride myself on receiving the most consistent return on CSI Surveys.  My enthusiasm for cars bleeds right into my customer experience.  My clients love their Audis and truly enjoy working with me as much as I enjoy working with them.  In addition to making their experience here at Audi BH easy and fun, I work with a lot of my clients and their Audis long after they drive off.  I am always a text or call away and am able to assist them with everything from complimentary car wash appointments to aftermarket modifications they may be looking into

ABH: How do you seek to improve your auto expertise to better serve our guests?

Amanda: Anyone who is selling anything needs to know their product to be successful.  Being passionate your product is even better!  While Audi provides essential training and the materials we all need to use and know to effectively do our jobs, I naturally dive deeper into my Audis out of the sheer joy of learning about something I love so much.  I’m lucky to have amazing and influential people in my life who I learn a lot from.  Reading up, driving, discussing brands, models, their performance, etc. is just part of my daily routine.  Because of this, I’m able to provide a lot of information to my clients about Audi and other brands they are considering.  This seems to be greatly appreciated and something I enjoy discussing.  Especially since the brand I represent is so very impressive.

ABH: How do you feel you set examples to females around you who might be interested in holding your same position one day?

Amanda: I actually have a steady flow of social media interactions from car-loving women across the country who also want to do what I do.  It can be an intimidating field to step into, but I’m always encouraging them to dive in and get to work.  You don’t need to love cars to sell them, but if you do, you’ll be successful because you love what you’re doing.  At Audi BH, we nearly have a 50/50 ration of females to males on our sales team.  It’s amazing!  I can’t sit here and say I know everything about everything (how can anyone), but what I do know, I share.  If any of my co-workers have questions, I am always open for discussion.  Those are the best conversations to have!  When it comes to friends and family, they just know I’ve been obsessed since birth, so I’ve naturally been labeled “the car chick” for some time now.

ABH: What does women empowerment mean to you?

Amanda: Doing what makes you happy, finding fulfillment from life and how you contribute to it.  This industry is full of women doing amazing things and owning it.  There’s too much fun to be had!  Might as well get in there and make the boys work a little harder.

ABH: What values would you consider important and essential for all women?

Amanda: I think it’s important for each woman, on an individual basis, to do what is right for herself.  Whether it’s pursuing a career, reaching her goals or picking out her perfect Audi, get it done and have fun doing it!

ABH: What is the best advice you can give to our young girls and teens who want to pursue male dominated careers?

Amanda: It doesn’t matter if the majority of guys got dibs on a specific field first.  Who cares?!  If you’re a woman going into uncharted territory, keep a realistic head on your shoulders, your eye on the prize, stay motivated, plan on crushing the stereotype and expect to achieve everything you want to accomplish!  Once you get to where you want to be, because you will, live in the glory for a bit and then get back to work with a bigger and brighter goal.
