Audi Discontinues Cabriolets for 2025 Models

Audi has announced that the production of the Audi A5 and S5 Cabriolet models has been discontinued for the 2025 model year. The coupe models have also been discontinued. Cabriolet vs. Convertible vs. Coupe

There is basically no difference between a cabriolet and a convertible, both being sporty cars that have a retractable roof and typically two doors. That said, there have been 4-door convertibles available from some automakers. The term "cabriolet" comes from the French and originally referred to two-wheel, horse-drawn carriages with convertible tops. Audi, like most European manufacturers, uses the term cabriolet rather than convertible.
