While the all-new Audi flagship debuted in part during an ad for Spiderman: Homecoming, the full car is being unveiled today. Along with it comes some great news for fans of the brand’s techy side—the 2018 A8 will come loaded with it. From semi-autonomous driving characteristics to a mild-hybrid powertrain, the fourth-generation range-topper will have it all.
As Audi moves towards a more digital premium approach, this new A8 makes a lot of sense. Powering that new tech is a 48-volt electrical system that can adjust wheel height, retune the suspension, and let the car drive semi-autonomously in traffic jam pilot mode. The AI system will also learn a driver’s style and habits, and suggest routes based on them. There’s also some new tech to be found in the interior: the A8’s touch wheel is gone, with voice commands and haptic buttons in its place.
